Cody Simpson och Justin har båda nominerats till australiska Nickelodeon Kids 'Choice Awards. Så är Cody får redan mer kärlek än de Biebs?

Aussie up-and-comer är nominerad i tre olika kategorier: Super Fresh, Awesome Aussie och Fave Aussie Muso ("Muso" är australiska för "musiker"). Cody vann Fresh Aussie Muso utmärkelse förra året.

Han samlat de mest nomineringar av någon på den australiensiska KCAs detta år, men kommer han inte att tävla mot Justin i någon av hans kategorier, Cody var utlämnad av hetaste Guy Hottie kategori som Biebs kommer att tävla i. Intressant nog är Justin upp mot Selena Gomez ex Taylor Lautner i den kategorin, medan Selena sig inte i den hetaste tjejen Hottie kategori haffa en nom.

Men även om Cody Simpson och Justin inte kommer få att möta upp riktigt än, bör musikern känns ganska bra om att få fler nomineringar än de största popstjärna i världen. Han kan ha en ganska stor fördel gentemot kanadensiska Justin i Grymt Aussie och Fave Aussie Muso kategorier, men han bör ändå njuta av sin stund. Plus Cody gjorde haffa två fler nomineringar än han gjorde förra året, vilket innebär att han långsamt rör sig upp i pop världen.

Cody Simpson kommer även att uppträda på KCAs i år efter imponerad folkmassan vid förra årets prisutdelning. Han kommer att göra det den 7 oktober och då kommer han ha ett mått av sin internationella dragningskraft, hans EP Coast to Coast kommer att säljas i september, så det ska bli intressant att se om tjejer i andra länder behandlar det samma sätt som de skulle behandla ett Justin Bieber album.

Naturligtvis är det inte rättvist att jämföra Cody till Justin hela tiden eftersom han absolut vill vara sin egen konstnär, men det är heller inte svårt att se hur han kunde tilltala en ny generation mellan flickor över hela världen.

He garnered the most nominations out of anyone at the Australian KCAs this year; however, he won’t be competing against Justin Bieber in any of his categories—Cody was left out of the Hottest Guy Hottie category that the Biebs will be competing in. Interestingly enough, Justin is up against Selena Gomez’s ex Taylor Lautner in that category, while Selena herself failed to snag a nom in the Hottest Girl Hottie category.

But even though Cody Simpson and Justin Bieber won’t get to face off just yet, the musician should feel pretty good about getting more nominations than the biggest pop star in the world. He might have quite a big advantage over Canadian Justin in the Awesome Aussie and Fave Aussie Muso categories, but he should still savor his moment. Plus Cody did snag two more nominations than he did last year, signifying that he’s slowly moving up in the pop world.

Cody Simpson is also going to perform at the KCAs this year after wowing the crowd at last year’s award ceremony. He’ll perform there on October 7, and by then he’ll have a measure of his international appeal—his EP Coast to Coast will be on sale this September, so it will be interesting to see if gals in other countries treat it the same way they would treat a Justin Bieber album.

Of course it’s not fair to compare Cody to Justin all the time since he definitely wants to be his own artist, but it’s also not hard to see how he could appeal to a new generation of tween girls all over the world.
